
In a monthly calendar, put a check-mark in the box for the day once you’ve taken your medication.Fold an index card to create a standing sign and put on stand beside the bed for evening medications.Place a note on the kitchen table or the refrigerator for mid-day medications.Place a brightly-colored sticky note on the bathroom mirror for morning medications.Put the note where you’ll see it at that time of the day.Sometimes, all it takes is a written note to remind you to “take your pills.” Also, don’t put your medication in direct sunlight, near a heat source, or in the bathroom (humidity). Be sure to keep out of reach of children. If you use a pill box, keep it where you’ll see it when you need to take your pills. Then at the end of the day, turn them right-side up. Turn the bottles upside down when you take them.

Users will also be able to download a PDF with their AFib history data to share with their providers. The feature, which was recently cleared by the FDA for people ages 22 and older who have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, allows users to track when their heart rhythm shows signs of AFib and what other factors may contribute, like sleep, alcohol use and exercise. The tech giant also announced a new atrial fibrillation history feature with the upcoming watchOS 9.

The tool also works with health sharing, so family members can share medication data with loved ones alongside other health metrics. In the U.S., users can also receive alerts about possible drug interactions if they upload a new medication that could react poorly with one of their current medications. They can use the camera to scan a pill bottle to import information, and set up schedules and receive alerts to take their medications on time. The Medications feature, available on both the Apple Watch and iPhone in the Health app, will allow users to manage their medications, vitamins and supplements.

Apple revealed a new medication tracking tool and more health-related features at its Worldwide Developers Conference Monday previewing its watchOS 9 and iOS 16.
